Research shows that suicidal behavior in euthymic bipolar disorder patients are related to factors such as alcohol misuse, disease onset at an early age, social phobias, a history of rapid cycling, as well as irritability and hostility.

Health News — Researchers at Sweden’s Sahlgrenska Academy, by way of studying more than 50,000 people, have managed to identify a gene that is believed to have a strong link with bipolar disorder.
Previous studies have shown that the risk of developing bipolar disorder is largely due to genetics, but scientists have been unable to pin down exactly which genes are involved.
Sahlgrenska Academy’s study has now identified one gene in particular that is linked to a calcium
